Exciting News from Farsight – We’ve Achieved BCA Accreditation!

It’s been a little while since we last checked in—but for good reason. Over the past year, the Farsight team has been working tirelessly behind the scenes on something truly significant. Today, we’re proud to share the results of that hard work: 

Farsight has officially been awarded Building Consent Authority (BCA) Accreditation by IANZ! 

This marks a major milestone in our journey and a huge step forward in our mission to deliver a high-quality, independent regulatory service that sets new benchmarks for professionalism, performance, and trust. 

Achieving BCA accreditation as a Private BCA required more than 12 months of meticulous planning, robust system development, and comprehensive assessment. From our internal processes to our technical competency and risk management approach, every element was reviewed to ensure we meet the highest national standards. We’re proud to have passed this rigorous process and even prouder of the exceptional team that made it possible. 

While accreditation is a significant achievement, it’s not the end of the journey. We now move into the final stage: formal BCA Registration. We are preparing to submit our application shortly and remain confident in both the quality of our proposal and the unique value we offer. 

Our BCA service will be tailored to meet the needs of one highly engaged, forward-thinking client—a client who takes their regulatory responsibilities seriously and shares our commitment to quality. While their identity remains confidential for now, we can say with confidence that this partnership represents a new chapter for private building compliance in New Zealand. 

We want to take a moment to express our deep gratitude to our entire team, whose professionalism, resilience, and shared belief in what we’re building have brought us to this point. We’d also like to thank the wider Farsight whānau—our families, friends, and supporters—whose encouragement and wise words have kept us grounded and focused along the way. 

As we look ahead to the next chapter, we’re filled with optimism. We believe that BCA registration will not only formalise our role in New Zealand’s regulatory landscape—it will allow us to contribute meaningfully to lifting the standard of building compliance in this country.
